Our restaurant will be closed Christmas Day, 12/25/12.
We will also be closed 1/2/2013, but we will be OPEN 1/1/2013.
Follow our Facebook and Twitter for more updates on our operating hours.
Instead of our popular free draft beer at every check-in, we’re now switching it up to accommodate for the changing weather. Now, whenever you check-in on Yelp!, Foursquare, or like us on Facebook, you will get one free serving of regular house sake per person, per visit.
Happy drinking!
If you’re a regular customer, then you’re familiar with our policy in not providing take-out boxes for our dine-in customers’ leftovers. We put that policy in place to be able to give low prices of our premium sushi to our dine-in customers.
But, not a lot of you were happy with this policy, so we decided to offer a new way to eat in and take some food home, too.
Starting today, we are now providing take-out boxes for a small fee to take extra food home. One take-out box holds up to two full sushi rolls, and will only be an additional $3.
Essentially speaking, instead of paying full price for take-out food (a regular sushi roll is about $10), you’re now paying somewhere between $5-$6 per sushi roll to take home, which wasn’t available before to dine-in guests.
We have heard you and now we’re changing up our menu again. We know this will please a lot of you, especially those who like to eat at our place, order lots of food, and still be able to bring some home to enjoy with others (or just for themselves later!).
Recently, we’ve experienced a big spike in traffic. Is it because of our beer specials? Maybe. Is it because we have great food and our customers keep coming back with friends? Of course. Whatever the reason, we are delighted that we are getting business back in a positive motion, and we have our customers to thank.
Unfortunately though, because of the increased traffic, we have received more complaints about our service and timing. We were not appropriately staffed during these times, and although there is just no excuse for bad service, we sincerely apologize to those who dined during those times and had to wait an uncommonly long amount of time for their food.
We just wanted to let everyone know that we are in the process of improving our systems and getting more talented people behind the bar to help speed up our services. Sushi to our customers shouldn’t take very long to get to the table, and we recognize that. Sure enough though, we will be more efficient than ever and able to serve our Long Beach customers better!
Here’s to a great and beer and fish-filled summer!
